Yamaha 40 ERR outboard

I am trying to get information on how fast my Yamaha 40 ERR motor will go through gas. i have asked the mechanics at the shop where I go, I have google, and gone to Yamaha's webpage. I have not found any answers. I have just bought this motor and have not been out with it yet, but it only has about 50 hours on it now.

rule of thumb, 1 gallon per hour, at wide open throttle, for each 10 hp. this varies alot.

I appreciate that, Ijust don't want to to be out in the middle of the water and run out of fuel.
