Yamaha 8B Flywheel removal

Hi all,

anybody has any idea on how to remove the flywheel on a 1980 Yamaha 8B? I tried with a harmonic balancer puller applied on the 3 inner bolts (and the central one) but I couldn't get it to nudge which made me think I was doing something wrong.


and then at one point I find bolts at the side which I have no idea what they're for.
I'm just thinking I'm doing something wrong when it's supposed to be simple...

Will do, thanks! But is it correct to install the puller on the three internal screws? (What are the outer ones for?) And does anybody have an idea what the nuts on the side are for?

Got it fixed, i overthought it when i saw the bolts on the side.
I pulled harder on the puller and then wacked around with a hammer and..bang

They can make one hellava bang when it breaks free. Glad you got it loose.
