Yamaha 90...impeller removal

dropped the lower unit...no problems..but the old impeller seems to be stuck on really tight...any suggestions...thanks

Impeller is a fairly tight fit and is held in place with a Woodruff Key (shaped like a half moon)....get under the impeller with some tools/screwdrivers and work it up the drive shaft....some penetrating oil will help....

I used a very stiff gasket scraper and worked at it as I rotated the shaft/impeller. Took a while, but it worked.

Thanks for the replies....BIL stopped by..suggested a wood chisel....took about 2 sec's to cut it off.....

Clean/polish all surfaces and re-assemble with marine grease and the job will be easier next time...
