Yamaha F115 fuel pump quit

I have a 2006 Yamaha F115 motor with about 300 hours on it. The first time I took it out this season I had been running for about ten minutes when the RPMs started to drop. I pulled the throttle back to an idle and after about ten seconds the engine died. I was able to restart it but it would only run for a second or two before dying again. Now I can't get it started at all. I don't hear the fuel pump running when I turn on the key now. I have cleaned out all the fuel filters and have always run treated fuel in the motor. I have pulled the engine apart and cleaned out the VST tank and filter. There was absolutely no debris or water in the tank and the filter looked brand new. I'm guessing that my fuel pump quit working but I don't know how to check it before I go ahead and get a new one. Can anyone point me in the right direction for checking the pump? Thanks!

EDIT, I ran power directly to the fuel pump in the VST tank and can hear it running. I guess the sound I used to hear when I turned the key on was not the fuel pump running? I always assumed that was what I was hearing.

The fuel pump is normally powered with 12 volts when the key is on. Is there 12 volts on the red/yellow wire at the pump with the key on?

The pump is made to run when the ECU provides a ground to the pump via the blue wire. Is the blue wire in good condition? Does it have continuity all the way back to the ECU? Is the ECU applying a ground to the blue wire for about 3 ~ 5 seconds only when the key is turned on?
