Yamaha F115 Hesitates from idle!

I have a 2001 yamaha F115. I have replaced the racor fuel/water filter and the yamaha fuel filter on the engine.The engine hesitates and the throttle moves without noticeable response when taking off from idle for just a second and then runs perfectly. At WOT the engine will turn 5800-6000 rpms, but I do not run at this speed very long. Normally I run between 3800-4400. Lots of fresh fuel is run through the engine. I already have 60 hours on the engine this season. I am not sure what to try next. I have a repair manual and am considering replacing the filter in the VST. Any suggestions as to what else I might consider before trying this would be appreciated, or am I on the right track? Thanks in advance.

your not describing a VST issue, carefully check the link and sync and the tps reference and output voltages.
