Re: Yamaha F115

Hi,

Try a thin wire in the hole where water is suppose to come out. Maybe mud etc in the house.

I have a Yamaha F115 myself also but it has never been problem with this. But I had another outboard with this problem and the cure was what I mention.

I do not know if a stuck thermostat can case this problem also. Maybe some other person know?

Good luck!

I also think you must try a thin wire in the pee-hole, spiders and bugs can block it, happens to mine all the time. Other wise it might be a blockage in the water chambers, you can try and flush it out with a high pressure hose. Are you sure you put the impeller back the right way?

I can't get mine to pump water with the muffs on, actually overheated it and melted the water pump last year trying to do so. I have to put mine in water about 2" over the cavitation plate to get it pumping. If you're trying with the muffs maybe this is your problem.
