Hi

I hav a yam f150 on my rib. I have been having intermittant problems getting her into gear. Once she is in, she is fine. Last week I was trying to reverse out of my bearth. I put her into reverse and moved the throttle back and she revved - not in gear. I then brought the throttle back to the centre position up into forward and then immediatly back out into neutral (or so I thought) I then moved the throttle into reverse however the boat was in forward gear(and had not moved out of forward) ....result was that the rib ended up on the jetty ....large rip in the tubes. So my boat appears to have been stuck in Forward gear. We took her out yesterday and on the trailler the prop was clearly still engaged in gear. We moved the lever forward and backward. Now the prop will turn one way with and intermittant knocking and the other with a grinding noise(sounding like it is in gear). Both are with the engine off. Any ideas as to what the problem is and what bad news my dealer is going to tell me ? Is this very serious from the engine's perspective or is it likely to be something straight forward ?

Thanks

Brian
