My good friend has a yamaha F200 (2008) mounted on his 22 ft center console. At wide open throttle his rpms barely get up to 4900. That is with less than 3/4 fuel and two guys weighing around 210 lbs each.
Shouldn't the rpms be higher??? I had him ask the dealer (who had installed the engine on the boat). The dealer claims that the rpms are lower because of the transom bracket (because of the extra length) is this true? or just a bunch of B.S. The boat seems to be overproped to me. Sluggish hole shot. My Suzuki 200 four stroke is much faster on a heavier and longer boat and gets up to 5800 rpms wide open....
