I was running my F225 Yamaha engine at a high idle for several minues to charge the battteries when I heard this piercing alarm coming from the electrical compartment in the cabin. I shut the motor off and it stopped. I started the motor up again and after two minutes the alarm sounded again. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks

In or out of the water? Muffs don't seem to provide quite enough water to keep it from sounding the horn unless they're specially modified. If in the water, you might have a weak pump.

what willy says again, :)
I use the rectangle shaped muffs with a dual water inlet I made and bungee cord it to the case and still sometimes it wont pump properly on the muffs. if you blip the throttle to about 2000 RPM at startup it will help prime the pump as well.
but I will bet your not the only person ever had an overheat with the 4 stroke V6 yamaha.
:)

I use a garbage can with two holes in the bottom for drain plugs so when you fill it up you can get the water out faster with the two drains you can trim the garbage can up to fit and you can still put it in gear as long as the prop is away from the sides and bottom
