Yamaha F4MSHX, what can you tell me?

HI, A friend is looking to sell me a 98' manufactured 4 stroke 4hp Yamaha Part number F4MSHX but it will be a week before I can get up to his place to look at it. . In doing some research, I'm unable to find anything out about this model other than some parts list. Did look up the part number via the sticky here and that was helpful. So, is it significantly different from current production? Anything i should be looking for in this older model?
Also, Can anybody tell me the weight of this particular motor?
Any insight/links greatly appreciated. Never owned a yamaha before and I'm somewhat uncomfortable with 4 strokes anyway.
