My Yamaha F60 on a 820 Sunchaser Pontoon Boat has relatively low hours and it runs beautifully but it doesn’t start on the first or even second turn of the ignition but almost always fire on the third turn. It just doesn’t seem like it is getting fuel.
This isn’t critical but somewhat annoying especially as my cottage neighbour’s Suzuki jumps to life on the first key turn.
I spoke to our Marina Mechanic who looks after the engine and he said it is a sealed unit but suggested I post to see what others have to say. He did advise me to turn the key twice but not fully to fire the starter but this doesn’t seem to help.
