Yamaha or Suzuki

Hi, I'm going to purchasing a new boat and I've narrowed down the outboard to either a 90 hp Yamaha 4 stroke 2010 or the Suzuki 90 hp 4 stroke 2010. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

Both are very good engines.

I would choose the one that has the best or closest Service facility.

The characteristics, quality and reputation for reliability of the two engines is very close. Warranty is the same. Suzuki is a little lighter and has a cam chain vs. a belt on the Yamaha that will need replacement at 10 Yrs/1,000 hrs. Suzuki had some issues with long wait for parts a while back, don't know they've resolved that issue yet. So yes, it comes down to proximity to quality service and which one you think looks better on your boat.
