Yamaha prop question

I recently purchased a 2000 Polar 181v with a 90 hp Yamaha 2 stroke. The prop that is on it is in foul shape, and marked 13x19k and has not been tested. The prop wizard comes up with a very different recommendation. It says for watersports use a 14x13 and for speed a 13 3/4x15. I am going to use mainly for fishing and joy riding. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Brian

Re: Yamaha prop question

If it's SS Get it repaired...usually alot cheaper than a new one.

Re: Yamaha prop question

Welcome,
Prop calculators are only as accurate as the information they recieve and the sofistication of their calculations.
Get the prop repaired and get us your max rpm and speed with the repaired prop. Also read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps on the prop store page.

Re: Yamaha prop question

The one that is now on the engine is aluminum. So I guess I am going to have to go with prop calculator. I put the info in dead on, weight wise and all. Just didn't know how accurate the calculators were. Thanks
