Yamaha Ringfree in OMC

This might sound like s stupid question and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, but it doesn't hurt to check.....Can I use Yamaha Ringfree in my '97 Johnny 115.

I don't see any reason not to, and it's supposed to be good stuff, but just wanted to check, since Yamaha "requires" it to be used and nobody else does.

i see no reason why not. it sounds no different than Seafoam.

Is there any reason to run either Ringfree or Seafoam consistently in your fuel, if you deacarb the engine every 50 hours? Other than maybe cleaning the carbs out slightly, does it do anymore than just decarbing directly through the carbs regularly?
