This motor recently purchased by a neighbor was supposedly rebuilt recently. I am not familiar with this model. I have a suspicion that the powerhead came from a different model. Is there an identification on the block similar to what we have on Johnyrudes.
The oiling has been removed and the puddling hoses are missing. The connections are there but no hoses and the connections are capped. What are your thoughts on this.

My guess it is a S130TXRU if it really is a 1996.
what the heck are puddling hoses

there should be a round decal on the block next to starter with some numbers/letters to help ID it

99yam40 many thanks. Will take a look in the morning.
what are your thoughts regarding the puddling hoses.
Another thought crossed my mind. The oiling system being removed I wonder if the manifold connections were plugged. Will look at that also. Thanks again.

I guess puddling hoses are the recirculation hoses tied into the crankcases and manifolds to clear out the liquid in crankcase

Yes, recirculation would be a better word. The manual I have refers to puddling. What are your thoughts on this. It is running without the hoses but I dont think the idle is as good as it should be.

the motors were designed to have them in place, so I would put them back.
there are check valves and just plain nipples on those.
good luck knowing how they are routed.
hopefully your manual shows that
