Yamaha wireing differences, 1990 vs 1998

My 1990 200 etxd unfortunatly had a nasty old 6208 bottom bearing I wasnt aware of untill it went Bang!. That being said , I was able to pu a 1998 s150txrw in great shape cheaper than repairing the 200.
I have wireing harness differences though. 10 pin is the same.

The 98 has a 4-pin that has a orange-pink-grey-black ( believe it is my trim gauge.)while the boat has same colors but bullet connectors. Can I just cut the 4-pin off and add same bullets?

The 98 has a square 4-pin connector that I believe is my remote oil system, black, black/red,blue and yellow, Boat has a round 4-pin -black, black/red, blue, brown. If so can I also use bullet connectors? And what about the different yellow and brown color?

Last one-The 98 has a 2-pin connector with green/black , green/red.while the boat has a 4-pin connector with green , green/red. And yellow , yellow/red.

I will order a manual but this will help me get back out sooner.

would be easier,and usually way more reliable, to simply run by the local yamaha dealer and buy the adapters for the trim,oil tank and oil alarm hrness's.
waht your looking for is the square post 1995 engine to the round pre 1995 controls.
they can be easily located in the gray accessories catalog.
problem with the average backyard crimpers is they simply dont give a reliable mostly waterproof crimp.
the crimping pliers for the factory connectors are about 60 dollars and the connectors are about 1 dollar apeice.
the crimpers to get satisfactory crimp on the standard heat shrink connectors are about 45 dollars.
the stamped steel ones from the local parts store are rather worthless as the tend to cut the connector insulaton and rarely give a satisfactory crimp.
