Yanmar for A/C

Is it OK to idle a 30 HP Yanmar all night to run the 12 volt A/C if you bump it up to 1000 RPM? That should prevent piston glazing problems and keep the 12 volt system charged.

Being a John Deere tech, I'm pretty familar with Yanmar diesel engines. I wouldn't be concerned with cylinder glazing unless the engine has not been broke in yet. I would be concerned with unburned diesel fuel washing down the cylinder walls from extending idle. I would raise it to atleast 1500 for extended periods. What engine model, 4TN72?
