Year help pls, Yamaha Enduro 40

Hi I need some help with the year of my motor to buy a prop here on iboats it is 40hp Enduro

Could the MLHO be MLHQ??
Q instead of the O ??
I don't see an O in the year listings??

If so that would be a 92.

As far as a prop, contact Michigan Propeller and give them the specs.
Is there a prop on it now?
Look for part#s on the prop under the nut and washer.

Depending on the size of the boat, the rpm's at wide open throttle.
You might have as low as a 11p up to a 17p

In what country do you reside?

An E40 model was never offered by Yamaha here in the USA. Therefore, you will not find this model in any Yamaha USA parts catalogs.

As noted, Yamaha USA never used the letter O as part of any model designator.

From a propeller stand point the model year does not matter. All Yamaha 40, C40 and E40 motors use a Yamaha G series size propeller.

I went and looked at the model #s again You are correct it is a Q , I live in Alaska I was given this motor as a junker P O said the lower unit was shot because it was stuck in neutral and would not shift, It ended up being a seized shift link up top, Shifts fine now, However It had no prop when I got it. Motor runs fantastic. kodi
