I have an old Johnson outboard my dad bought new somewhere in the late 40's or early 50's, I have no info or manuals. I would like to make this motor run again. What I would like to know is what sparkplugs to use and the gap setting for same. Also, I need to know how to set the carburetor. Info that I have: Ser. No. 666185
Model No. HD-25
Horsepower 2.5
I would like to know the year, paint color scheme, and can You still find decals for this motor, if so, where? Thanks in advance for any info you might have, Charles.

I'm couldn't find your paint scheme here, but I'll bet they have the paint you need: Antique outboard paint.

Plugs ought to be Champion J8C gapped at 0.030"
You can find an original service manual here and here.
