Sure about your data ?? your serial number comes up as a 1984 inline-6 115hp engine ?? ( model MER 1115524 )

The plate says 7211528 it has four spark plugs and three carbs redish and pinkish strips on cover Tall hat

Got any pictures ?? ( without the hood ), nether of your numbers makes sense
A inline 6 engine ( > 1988 ) got 6 cylinders, six spark-plugs and 3 carbs
A inline 4 engine ( 1989 > ) got 4 cylinders and four spark-plugs and 4 carbs

Does this engine got a one-pize top/cover or a top hat and a wrap around ??
Got any number on the carbs... like WMK-** or WME-** ??

It has a a wrap around. Maybe it has 6 plugs and I just saw only four. but I know for sure it has three carbs. It looks like your avatar without the cover on it.

This is a 90hp inline 6 engine from 1986... the 115 only got some minor internal differences ...

NO, it doesn't

This is a totally different animal, it does share the same block ( basically same ) but this is a pure racing engine from the early 70s ....
