Year of Evinrude 4 HP

I was going to try to rebuild this old looking 4 HP outboard motor I had and I need to know what year it is so I can buy a repair manual for it. The Model # is 4836E and the Serial # is E0001204.Also where is a good place to buy repair manuals. Thanks

That's a 1978 4hp Evinrude you've got there. A great little engine that has a heritage going back to the early fifites. <br />Iboats sells aftermarket manuals, which you'll probably also find at the local library. The best are the original OEM service manuals which are still being reprinted.
