Sure its not a 1251f9b? I did not see a 1E9B in my listings. if that E is an F it is a 89.

The guy that has the motor says that it is 1251E9B. I just want to know the year of it so I can tell if any of the parts will interchange with my 1985 85hp. because the guy only wants $80 for the whole motor with tilt/trim and all electronics...

Go to www.maxrule.com then click tech assistance, go to model year guide and you will find that this motor is a 1989. Sorry can not help you much more then that. But at least you have year now. Others will chime in and let you know if parts are interchangeable. Good luck

It is definitely a 1989 model. Don't know about the interchangeable stuff.
