Year of Johnson Motor?

I have an Johnson motor but I don't know the year or HP of the motor. <br />The Serial Number is 2215655.<br />Thanks For the Help

Your serial number points towards 1962. Serial #2212896 was a '62 10hp. 222**** numbers point to engines made in '62 and '63.<br /><br />Try to read that model number. Even a partial will help. And go look at the catalogs at the site oregonducker pointed you to.<br /><br />1962 is a pretty good guess from the serial#, but it's almost impossible to determine HP from it.
