just picked up a new project a 16 foot runabout with a inboard/outboard 4cylinder mercruiser
i,m looking to find the year of the motor n out drive
s/n motor 3954715
s/n out drive 3848171

Those numbers are from 1974.

Just a word of advise. The engine and drive serial numbers are far more important when you need parts and service advise than the year is. So if/when you post looking for answers, included those numbers (preferably in the initial post )...

Not a 470. They only started in 1976, with serial number 4208730...

And being a 16 footer, if I was a bettin' man, I'd be bettin' it's a 120....
