Year of my Mercury 850 85 hp serial number 7063672

Hi I got this motor with a project boat and I've looked for the year of the motor through some of the treads listed here but I can't seem to narrow it down. Any help would be so appreciated!

It is a Canadian built engine:

85 1975 E 4092965 - 4366801 7044108
85 1976 E 4366802 - 4590511 7071373

7044108 is the starting s/n for 1975 and as the starting s/n for '76 is 7071373, it makes yours a 1975.

hey, i just bought the same engine, my ser # is 7063538 !!
