year or info?

just bought this tohatsu 8 hp on ebay for 250 clams, it is a ms8a and serial is 35728<br /><br />owner knows of no year and neither do i, if it were evinrude or merc, this question wouldnt be asked

Hi Mike, wish I could help, but I seached and cannot find nothing on the Tohatsu numbers. Might call a dealer and see if they can fish it out for you. Good luck on the year....<br /><br />BTW- How many motors are you up to now???

rick,, i have now as follows<br />3.5 wards sea king 1970, another 3.5 sea king(same year) 5hp nissan 1994, 6hp johnson 1972, 8 hp nissan unknown year, 14hp evinrude 1988, 50 hp evinrude 1972 , 50 hp evinrude 1980 , 115hp mercury inline 6 1977 ... and i am currently looking for an older mercury early 50's mark or "k" model..small hp, 1 or 2 cylinder to restore<br /><br />there is never enough time <br /><br />m ike
