YES i already have checked the FAQ area.

I know everyone has seen this type heading before, here's mine.
I am working on a 'friends' motor and it seems to be missing the much needed serial number or it's not easily found.
I have researched other similar obs and found their tags between the transom clamps looking at cha if it was a tiller model.
Not there on this 4 cylinder 2 stroke.

1st clue = starter date stampped = 4-23-87 so my guess it may be a 1988 year model.

The freezeplug has no markings.

Here's the rest of the clues=
Max's Outboard Motor

EXTENDED V PLANE on engine cover wrap around.

it's a Mariner 4 cylinder 2 stroke

here's the 'found' numbers

flywheel= 4373290

head= 1017-8359

cover= 2153-7935

starter= 50-7321 dated printed on it= 4-23-87

fuelpump= 98766

carbs (2)= WM6-1

front plate (inside)= 42659-C1

"CDIGNITION" Mercury= 87554

I know I will need carb gaskets sets, the bowls are leaking.
And of course the impeller/ waterpump rebuild kit.

Any useful help gladly appreciated, thanks H2o NXS
