Yep! Another Warning Buzzer Post...

I have read through many threads/responses regarding the constant warning buzzer/sound after the engine turns over and runs. I checked all my gauges (they are brand new) and I am showing good oil pressure (45-55), cool coolant level (125-150), and my drive oil is at the top of the line. I disconnected the wires to the outdrive oil reservoir and it continues to sound. Now, I have heard that there is a temp sensor, and OP sensor that the other wires go to in order to sound the buzzer. Where exactly are they located on my 2006 Bayliner 195 BR with a 4.3 Mercruiser? If I disconnect one them and the buzzer stops, does it indicate that the sensor is bad? How difficult is it to change either one of these sensors? Where is the best online store to get them? I'm trying to get this wrapped up before next Wed. before we take off for the lake. TIA!

2006 Bayliner 195 BR with a 4.3 Mercruiser?

Could use a serial number so we can figure out which ones you have. Do you have smartcarft or digital controls?

That said you have at least 2 other switches. The water temp and oil pressure switches.
Water temp is on the thermostat housing and probably has 2 wires on it. The other sensor on the other side is for the temp gauge.
The oil pressure is below the distributor and behind the intake.

AllDodge, I found a Yellow and Black wire that runs to the thermostat housing. Is that the sensor? Here's the latest to my dilemma. I have the 4.3 Carbed version
I have the carbed version of the 4.3 Mercruiser. I have analog gauges, not digital. I have no digital anything on this boat that I know of. The tone I am hearing is lower/duller than the warning alarm for the OP Switch that comes on when you turn the ignition key to the On position. I disconnected the tan wire that runs to the switch and Loud tone disappeared, but the "not as loud" tone continued. The same lower tone continued when I disconnected the Low Drive Oil switch, and the Temp Sensor wires (if the black and yellow wires are the one that run to the sensor). I got the Low Drive Oil alarm to sound by shaking the bottle back and forth. I am figuring out that the louder tone is the actual alarms for those components. The constant ringing alarm is not as loud and continuous. Could it be that the alarm itself is bad? TIA!

That is a possibility but right now not so sure.
The alarm has 12V supplied to one side of it thru the purple wire coming from the ignition key switch. The Tan/Blue wire feeds the other switches. If the lube bottle is grounded the alarm will sound. Same goes with the temp switch and oil pressure switch.

The temp switch with the yellow wire, just remove the connector and if alarm stops then its the temp switch. If its the oil pressure switch , just remove the one wire from it and it will stop

Found it!!! It was the Temp Sensor. I was disconnecting the Temp Sender. As soon as I pulled the tan wire off of the switch the alarm stopped. Hooked it back up and it started sounding again, Thank you all for your help. Unfortunately that has to be the most expensive !@#$ing switch I've ever seen in my life. $65-93.00. Anyone have any idea what the GM equivalent might be for this switch. Outrageous that Mercury sells them for $103.00. :O
