I've had worse. Swam for 4 days in a row without any protection in the July sun about 5 years ago. I have red hair and burn VERY easily. Had 2nd degree burns ALL OVER my face and back. Couldn't do anything but sit on the edge of the couch and make noises for a solid week. Then all my skin started falling off. Probably have skin cancer now...

Ouch that is hard to even look at. Hope it subsides quickly. :)

When I was stationed in San Diego, I saw a burn at the beach I hope to never see again. Someone had their toddler with them and he had gotten out of his diaper somehow. Everything and I mean everything on that poor kid was bright red. His 'dad' said he was too sore to wear a diaper now, so they were letting him go without......

I HATE sunscreen but I make myself put on the factor 50 that stays on the boat BEFORE I leave the slip.

Sunscreen is less a PITA than sunburn.

Yup, I'm of the red hair blue eye type myself. Burn through the shirt, yes. I hate having to put on the sunscreen, especially if I am going fishing, but I have to, otherwise I am a lobster hot out of the pot if I don't.

And lets not forget the "racoon" look if you leave your sunglasses on all day too! :)

Ditto...I burn in under 10 minutes without sunblock.

I forgot to put a hat on at the weekend and now I've got a bright red burned stripe where I've got the parting on the edge of my ponytail...!

I went boating last week and never used any chapstick on my lips. Now I am paying for it. For the last week and a half, I have had blisters on my entire bottom lip. And I got sunburned too.
Quite embarrassing.
Same thing happened last year. I thought I learned my lesson. Maybe now I have.

Took my cousins innertubing down the Niobrara river one year, a 2 day trip. They were lying on their fronts on the tubes with their feet up in the air. Sunburned the bottoms of their feet. That is the second worste place to sunburn.
