So i am debating about picking up 2 boats tomorrow morning.

Boat number 1 - 1972 16ft Glastron, closed bow, solid hull, solid floor, solid transom, has running 1968 40hp johnson sea horse on it.

Boat number 2 - 1972 17ft glastron, open bow, inboard volvo b20 4cyl (unknow running condition, looks like it has been rebuilt though), volvo penta 250 outdrive, solid floor, solid hull, needs new seats.

Both have trailers, only boat number 2 has a title, the trailers and boat 1 do not. I can pick both boats up for $250.

My plan would be to buy them, clean them up, and sell them to maybe make a few bucks to put towards my bayliner project.

Is this worth it or not? Sorry i don't have pictures of them, forgot to take pictures when i was looking at them

let me know what you think.

Selling fiberglass boats for profit is an "iffy" proposition. I leave that to dealers and marinas. Sometimes you need to sit on them for a while in order to make ANY money.

Remember, you are goint to need to invest time and money just to get titles (and it may not be possible to easily get them--don't know the rules in your state) in order to sell both rigs in addition to restoration costs.

Buy 'em because you like 'em and want to restore them. Then, if you can sell them for even money later or even a SMALL profit, you will have done ok.

Go to glassicglastron.com and enquire about their worth before and after restoration before buying them.

In Texas you need a title (actually 3 titles) to boat, motor, and trailer to operate said in the public domain. Trying to bring in an out of state rig, or a rig with no title could be very disappointing.
