If you can deal with the no trailer then get it; if it turns out to be shot, put it on craigslist, either free or for a price-you'd be surprised but sometimes if you put a low ball price out there it'll go away faster than free:confused: just keep us posted-and if it's not shot make sure to relay to the rest of us how to find these deals

No trailer though..... ehhh

The motor might be worth something, even if you have to take it apart to ebay it.

however, the boat probably needs floor, stingers, and transom.

so, let say you want the engine, but not the boat, do you have the means to dispose of the boat?

Re: yes or no?

I live in Washington state where boating season is only 3 months long. So most boats sit for most of the year, I get offers for free boats all the time. I run adds on craigslist for free boat removal, and you would be suprised what kind of boats I get offered. So I pick them up for free, clean them up and re sell them. It really is a good little buisiness up here. I picked up a free 14ft sears trihull with a sears 45hp motor 2 days ago.

I would think there would be plenty of valuable parts on that 135. ESPECIALLY if it has power tilt & trim.

Re: yes or no?

I looked at that ranger today and I am picking it up tomorrow. The motor does have power tilt and trim, and turns over nicely, I dont think it will be hard to get running. The boat is dirty, but in very nice condition. gonna throw down some carpet and new seats in it, and get it ready for fishing season. I will post pictures tomorrow after i get the boat home.

That trim unit is worth $400 on eBay in working condition.

Re: yes or no?

here are the pics...I was able to get into it for the first time today, and the floor is soft, I am assuming the transom is rotted out as well. Not in as nice of shape as i orriginally thought, but hey it was free. Next weekend i will begin the tear down process, and start a thread on the restoration of it. It will be fun when it is done!

Re: yes or no?

Parts alone are worth the investment.I just bought a motor for 400.00 DELIVERY INCULDED. just for lower unit. good luck, and with alittle time and help, you can get this boat bat on the water.

Re: yes or no?

Yes I need to do some cleanup around the house! The people who lived here before us trashed the house, and we have been cleaning up ever since! We moved in 2 months ago, and have worked out a barter deal, free rent if we progressavly get the place back to par, so this spring will be hitting the ground running on this!

The motor is worth some moola, I am going to see about getting it running before I sell it for parts. Worth a lot more running!

I know you weren't bagging my home, I did not take it that way at all. I just don't like living in this mess that we are right now.

And yes the deck of the boat has a nice green tint to it...I am thinking of planting some flowers in there for the wife!
