Yet another Re-floor question

I have something on my mind thats driving me nuts. My project boat is a 1990 18ft Astro Quickfire F/S with a 150 Mariner. It's time to re-floor it. My question is this. Are the drivers console and passenger side console generally removeable, or attached to the boat. They are, or course. fiberglass. If they dont come out, does the flooring generally slide in underneath them or what. The reason I cant look for myself is that the boat is still in storage...but I'm driving myself crazy thinking about my new project. Any insights would be great. I know all boats are different, but I was hoping that someone would have some general thoughts or opinions.

Thanks again...I really am becoming addicted to this site!

To replace the floor in that boat, I believe you will have to take the whole top deck off, This is a very big job. Why does the floor need replaced?

Re: Yet another Re-floor question

It is soft around the ski-storage hatch, so I thought maybe a complete re-floor would be a good project. The boat was given to me by my father in law, so it didnt cost me a dime, and it's in amazing condition with the exception of the floor! I was hoping I wouldnt have to pop-the-top to do a replacement.
