Barato,

Fortunately I work the afternoon shift and most of the neighbors are on days. I would do most of the loud work then. The Hardtop does come in handy, you don't have to drag the Zodiac behind or deflate it to take up space inside the boat.

I that a factory hard top?
Are those smart tabs on the back and if so do they work well?
Nice looking boat, you sure put alot of hrs in it to repaint the whole thing.

Yes, it is a factory hard top. For the type of water I run in the trim tabs are a must, the boat is very light and with the hardtop it act like a sail. These are Bennet tabs.

need some details, i have read that you do not have to remove all the old paint to repaint, but you took her down to bare aluminum, did you use a etching primer or wash or ??? - what kind, i have my 1977 18 ss tore down and ready for paint - thanks steve:D

Hi,
I figured that if i was going to do this job I might as well go all the way. I used Mar-Hyde Talstrip II Aircraft Coating remover to take off the paint, and Interlux 353 Vinyl-Lux Primewash base as the etching primer.
