I would imagine they had a parking brake not hold or thought the transmission was in Park, but it wasn't.

Backing in, the settup got away, completely submerging the truck. The boat and trailer, still floating, was the "handle" used to pull everything back in?

Sitting at the top of the ramp, before making the the turn around I would guess. Unless someone knows the particular layout of this ramp, it'd be tough to say.

We've all heard of power loading. Maybe he was trying to invent "power launching."

1. Unstrap boat.
2. Speed to the top of the ramp.
3. Hit brakes.
4. Boat launches over the truck, into the water, ready to go git' um.

Guess he forgot step 3.

I don't have a picture of it, but I do know of one ramp when the lake is in winter pool you go down it truck first and it has a turn around close to the bottom, that only one like it I have ever seen. The lake is dropped 100 feet.

re the first pic. That's a classic, been around awhile. Mebbe the guy thought it was a drive thru?

edit, correction. Make that "Dive Thru" ...
