no spark on 1962, 40 hp evinrude model #35933 serial #02443 lark IV, selectric shift. it has flywheel magneto breaker point ignition. my manual tells me how to bench test with equipment i do not have. i took the flywheel off and did a continuity check and everything i touch is grounded  is everything suppose to be grounded? also did commpression test top cilinder is 100, bottom cilinder is 110 is that ok?

You reading through the condenser. Are you sure
the kill switch is open.
Be sure the points are clean a gapped at .020.
Usually if coils have failed it is obvious with
cracks and oxidation.
Remember kill switch is open to run closed to kill.Take plugs out unhook harness at the connector crank by hand check for spark.

ok i put it back together, disconected wire harness, pull with rope, no spark :( the vacuum cut out switch is open, coils, points, and condenser are new. in my wiring diagram it shows the condenser and stop switch wires to one side of the points and the coil connected to the other side of the points(this seems logical)but on my points there is only one screw terminal with all three wires together  i am wondering if it is wired correct?
