I re-read this, and my reaction is that I would say MF or SOB. Therefore, if I have to choose a gender, it must be masculine. However, in honestly, I have to say I am not inclined to have terms of endearment, pet names or any such thing associated with any of my stuff. <ANNOYING THREAD ALERT> I reserve such things for my hot wife and girlfriend, of whom I have many photos I am not going to share! I guess it is just a different style or temperament. It might be interesting to add a poll to this thread:

masculine
feminine
gender neutral
nothing/zilch/nada

My sense is that there will be many others who have no gender association with their boat.

A boat is a hole you throw money into. It can flake out at any time and always requires high maintenance and body work............need I say more?

Explains why in the olden days have a women aboard was considered bad luck...as we all know having two or more women just leads to trouble.

When I anthropomorphize objects I tend to think of them as male. However, for boats, it can be a gender neutral "it" or male. Guess I have some Russian blood in my veins or something.

to stand kind of corrected here i see her as a lady.
take care of your lady and she will you, can be extremely important at times.
abuse her and she can send you to the bottom before you know it.
little off subject however do this often.
kiss wifes butt and tell her now you can go though the day knowing someone did.
love my ladys boat and wife.

everyone sure has good reasons for a boat being a her. but i've got a new one that now is absolute proof boats, at least mine, is a she..

i've developed an oil leak from my oil drain plug

the temporary repair..... the proof... the pad (folded up paper towels) gets saturated and is changed once an outing...
