I've bought my dream Azimut so many times at this point but it's my federal and state income tax bill to the government each April. I secretly measure most things in my head by how many Azimuts that would cost.

Damn. Both of those are lookers. Maybe there will be room for two in the slip?

I have no interest nor could I afford both.

I either give up my offshore addiction (a day offshore is getting harder and harder every year) or I go the "gentlemen boater" route and hang out at the Yacht club.

In reality, I'll probably end up with something in between. Another Grady maybe... I've had a crush on the 28' Carolina Classic (diesel inboard) for years. Maybe a 35 Carolina if I get back into charter fishing once retired

I like all the boats mentioned. Some I could afford the purchase price but I think the fuel costs would bankrupt me.

Or the Intimidator with the i/o chev 350 and thru-hull exhaus

With the raised X-dimension, the prototypes were so fast they actually de-tuned the hull to slow them down before they went into production.

My brother's old Intimidator - Very sexy!

Something my wife will feel safe in on Lake Erie but the bigger the boat the sea sicker she gets. Dilemma, 50 foot offshore fishing anything or new wife that likes big boats.

As it turns out, I would have to say I have mine. Certainly not the boat for everyone. She’s a boat I never thought I would end up with, and orne I would have always admired.

Indeed we are! Was just re-reading the thread the other day. I feel like a boat stalker. 'Ooh you added struts to your navy top this year'! ............Sad!

Cheers...............Todd

Probably had the end list boat for the last 5 yrs,
30ft Mariner Flybridge Cruiser,
twin 5.7 mercruisers, shaft drive
Lives on a mooring

live on the east coast ( the sheltered side lol )of Tasmania,
after having various boats over the years this was the retirement boat...
was after a cruising/ fishing boat that could handle a bit of weather comfortably if needed,
been caught out in 45 kts ONCE
not looking to do that again in a hurry
nothing between us and New Zealand lol,

not a speedwagon, 25 kts is about it at just over 100 lts ph somewhere 4k revs iirc, it's been awhile since l floored it

l like to cruise anywhere between 13 and 18 kts,
it's more relaxing, cheaper and less chance of the chardie getting spilled lol

nice social boat as well....once all the fish blood and guts have been washed off last time,

Tattslotto boat?
a bigger version of it,
with twin diesels, a dedicated cabin to sleep in rather than a V berth...having anchor chain storage behind a bulkhead next to ya pillow is so last century...
and the full size dunny in a different location would be good,
Not sure about a flybridge model again, just don't use it enough here in Tassie,
winters cold and l'm old lol
