I have to say A Christmas Story, as back in 93 I edited the tape to propose to my wife in it.
Told her it was tradition to watch it every Christmas eve, and at the middle, I broke in with my proposal. I filmed it with one of those giant VHS recorders.

I have a leg lamp on my end table, a gift from my wife. It stays out year round.

That's not a lamp. It's a major award from Italy.

First time I saw that I was in tears.
When Billy Bob came up the escalator trashed to the bejesus with the broken bottle in his hand and had the temper tantrum with the plastic reindeer.

For me it's a toss up between Ralphie and Christmas Vacation. My favorite Christmas Vacation quote is from cousin Eddie following Clark's update to the kids regarding Santa's location.

How sad that nobody has mentioned the best Christmas film ever: "We're no Angels", Bogart, Ray and Ustinoff.

The others listed are mostly entertaining fluff; "It's a Wonderful Life" is a classic masterpiece.
