Man I thought that you would have been more for the polebarn than the 25'er. Warm and dry during the winter and plenty of room for the many projects. Heck you wouldn't have to clean up anything to start a new project. Well atleast for the first couple of weeks of the barn being empty.

Next boat for me will be a scratch built 23 ft Dory or 22-24 ft offshore power boat.

I was considering that as well before the SS, however after the 12er I built I think Ive had enough. I was a very rewarding experience though, lots of good memories with my brother!

I'd think the same thing if I had built one out of wood. My scratch build will be aluminum as well.

I prefer to weld, than glass/epoxy/sand stuff.

Yah, I'm actually in NO rush to find the 25 footer. Likely the "boat house" will come first.

you could effectively get that 25' by taking a TIG welding class at your local CC and making yourself a pod for an OB. when my I/O finally dies, this is what i might do with the Starchief just to gain some room. i figure by then, 4 stroke and EFI-2stroke OBs will have come down in price and there will be a lot more on the used mkt.
