My neighbor has a Volvo Penta SX outdrive and he is complaining about his boat pulling to the right. As far as he knows a zinc rudder never came with the boat. The boat is used rarely and zinc is really not an issue with him. Question is, where may I find one. Looked everywhere I know for a part #. Thanks.

Re: Zinc rudder

VP SX doesn't use one

Guess I better take the boat out and see if he really does have a problem. The last time i saw him cruising the intercoastal his bow was so far in the air at 20kts. I think his prop was barely in the water. He is new to boating. 4 year old boat with 25 hrs. His first. But I do see on the cavitation plate a setting where a trim fin would fit.

Naw,.... Offer to go out With 'im,+ observe how He handles the boat,...
Maybe he don't understand Trim,+ whatnots...

Maybe check his Prop,...
Some props on some hulls, just can do that...
See if he's got a Spare,... If Not,... He Should....

Thanks Bondo, but the guy is what we call a "snowbird" in these parts. I won't see him till Nov. I would like to have his toy ready when he returns. I will take your other advice and check the prop. And yes, I will go out with him sometime. Spare nothing onboard. I checked his track on the GPS and he has only heen to a couple Tiki bars on the river, a mile away.
