Zipper Opening In The Middle

anyone have exoerience with zippers??? Canvas has plastic zipper that is opening in the middle after it is zipped.The zipper is not an old one so I know for sure that it is not worn .It is hardly used.Should I try to change the pull??

if the pull locks the teeth together on the first run, i would think it is the teeth giving way not the pull. see if you can determine what tooth is letting loose. then maybe you can finagle it to stop slipping. otherwise its replacement time. i paid 40 bucks for a 4 footer sewn in.
