My offer stands to everyone, same as last year.
If I have it, and you want to use it, just ask, and clean up when you are done.
The offer includes most everything.
Screened cook tent with stove, lights, cookware, dishpan, soap, foil, salt n pepper, utensils, adjustable tripod grill for over the campfire, large water heating pot for over the fire, can opener, cutting board, silverware, etc.
I'll designate the screen tent as a community kitchen, which may help some of you that are old and forgetful
, or those that don't want to haul everything for a 1 or 2 day trip.
I travel heavy, so if you forget something, just ask, and return it, preferably clean.
I have a much smaller boat this year, I hope it will all fit.
If I have room, I will bring an extra tent, 8'x9', good to sleep 2, just in case someone has a problem with their tent.
Will bring some tools just incase someone needs to make a repair.
I won't share my sleeping bag, and will only share my tent in an emergency.
And javsam, thanks again for helping me out with the papertowels last year.
Suggestions of what to buy?
a 6'x8' plastic tarp to cover firewood or keep the cooler out of the sun.
a small dish pan
a water jug, anything from an empty milk jug to a 5 gallon water jug will work.
a lighter, preferably one of those 8" long ones
a couple cans of soup or stew, and canned fruit makes for a quick snack or emergency meal.
Things that always seem to come in handy:
a hammer
extra towels
duct tape
band-aids
2 small throw rugs or foot mats, one for outside your tent door, one for inside
popcorn
paper plates
a lawn or patio chair
20' of rope
sunscreen and bug repellant
meat tongs ( or vise-grips ) if you plan on grilling.
