Reservations are kind of strange at this campground.
They have 300 specific sites, and several large areas of non designated sites, kind of like group camping. Supposed to have room for 500 total units.

Of the 500 sites, only 7 are available for reservations. Weird. Why bother.
So that makes it first come for the camp sites.
And dogs are allowed, 10' leash law, and never left unattended.

So, They claim that we will not have any problem getting sites.
They also said that you can tell people that you are expecting a group, and most people will keep their distance. So when I get there on Wednesday or Thursday, I will put up a few signs, announcing that this is the location for the Hells Angels convention. :^ That oughta keep people away. 8)

Obviously, we don't all have to camp together, but in the same general vicinity would be nice.

So......... Where do we want to set up camp?

Near the launch in specific sites?
Near the launch in a "group" area?
Away from the launch, perhaps in the newly developed area?
Near the showers?

LOL, while it is true I am a boss......my bosses may not appreciate me having off for camping AND the Roger Waters event. As of right now I have off..........so its looking good at the moment.

I'm not worried about rain. Its just a joke between Calico and I, since the last time we went fishing it just so happened to be the rainiest day of the entire year........still went out and caught a few.8)

Looks like i will miss this one. Will be At the homestead from June 8th through the 17th. Any one who wants do do some real fishn are welcome to come. Neaumans and Eurolarva are usually there.

Last time I was there we had a few sites along the lake shore not too far from the landing. There was a strip of common area between our sites and the beach. We left our boats on the beach the whole time right behind our sites and came and went as we liked. Not sure if this was OK with the park office but nobody noticed or said anything. It would be nice to be pretty close to the water I would think... at least for people with smaller boats that can be beached easily. I'm not familiar with the new area, I think they were working on that when we were there but I never checked it out.

At night the White bass come up on the beach chasing minnows. We stood out there in knee deep water under the full moon sipping beers and reeling in a fish on every cast for a couple hours one night.

gonfishn, I can't make it either. Our vacation requests came out today and that week is all booked. Fishing has no Boundaries event that weekend, wouldn't miss it.

Just let me check the vacation schedule for those dates up Nort in Minnysoda. You guys were a blast around the campfire and one hell of a campstove cook. I still remember those potatoes, mmmnnn. Otherwise stop in at the house, mile marker 129 just nort of Madison on the way for a cold one and a place to stay if needed. You're welcome.

Just don't know about being in the big, deep woods where there's alot of bears. I still remember the screams coming from your tents when a bear call went out. Bill

You like the Samsungs Roscoe? I myself am partial to the Sonys. I bought one a few months ago, and it is much nicer than the Toshiba that I bought last year.

Though there is a strong possibility that next month I will sell them all and buy a new 42" LG with built in DVR.

I was seriously going for a Samsung 26" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Model: LN-S2641D

But found out I had to drive 87 miles each way to get one.
Don't have time for that right now.
It is more tv than I need right now, so as long as the 20 year old RCA colortrac holds out, I guess I will wait.

Sorry guys it has been awhile since Ive been around. The pictures I took of the camp ground are gone. We did a major computer upgrade at work here and I cannot seem to find them. ( too many damn server drives.) But, the grounds look very nice and the ramp is nice also. the ramp has 2 or 3 lanes if I remember correctly but, it's not very steep at all.
I as of right now will be the only one attending but, that soon might change as I have asked a few friends to come along. ( personaly I hope they dont because, im more apt to socialize with them vs meeting new people.)
I have a few ideas for the weekend like a fishing contest and also maybe a fish fry if they are biteing. I can donate a few items if we want to have a fishing contest. I will be bringing my fishing gear but, I will not fish from my boat. Sorry personal rule no hooks near the new vinyl.
I probly will be ariving around 3pm on Friday. I will be driveing my wifes truck and pulling our boat. So if any of you guys see a Dark Blue Avalanche
with a Green Searay behind it lost just flag me down.
Also just a tip when comeing in on Highway 21 you will see kind of a flee market and a Phillips 66 gas station. This is the turn to get to the campgorund. I have a picture of it.

Anyways I need to get some work done today. If I find those pictures I will post them.
