I will probably come up saturday Jul 7 and leave on Jul 8. I will not be bringing a boat. Roscoe maybe we can fish on Saturday June 23. As it gets closer I will see if I can get June 22 off. Sure woulld be nice to trash Joels house that weekend though.

I may fish Friday, Saturday, and Sunday till noon, then head home.

Fyi,

I have been following the post. Ann and I and Addie will be there but will be staying at the Dirty Turtle marina. We have room for about 4 comfortably and my brother should be there with room on his boat for another 5 or so. Both of us staying at the marina on the boat. I got a new job so I might be able to sneak out early on that Friday and get up there otherwise it will be later in the day Friday.

itwon'tletmein--- Thanks for the offer, but this will be a fishing weekend for me. Not camping. Don't want to haul the gear, cook,and spend the time to set up, etc.

I want a cheap motel with a fridge, microwave, and a diner near by.

Tomorrow I'm gonna call the Pinewood Motel in Siren, unless you have a recommendation.

The dirty turtle is on Castle Rock right next door. We will spend our time with the group, and this will open up a different type of boating experience for those who are interested. It is actually connected to Petenwell but you can't cross over I don't believe.

if its the one in siren its a nice place the guy that owns knows my wifes little bro and he stays there often says its clean and has really nice rooms wish i could be here but thats the only weekend the inlaws can go to boundry waters

The dirty turtle. It took the new wife some getting used to as you have to walk threw the bar to get to the showers. Yes, there are showers in the bar. (No windows or mirrors you sicko's, and no I don't bare arse it for you preverts out there.) I am usually there on vacation so I seldom make it past the bar without at least a pit stop. Flipp flopps, a towel, shaving kit, and sometimes a bloodly mary. Owned, operated and staffed by fine Americans. One of my best friends from what is soon to be my former job has a cabin about a mile from there. Might have to break hopps with him too.

Roscoe, as for a para-military force assisting in a turn of the century portage, I have some doubts. But I am "willing to learn".

Anyone planning on bringing friends and relatives to the lake?

I have talked with about a dozen people, and all are noncommittal.
A couple are very interested, but likely will not decide until that week.

Put a note up on the bulletin board at work. We will see.
