Cute SBN, but hardly on topic. :p

What constitutes a troll post? And who decides the posters motive?

I thought we were talking about pink bunnies and butterflies?
Maybe I need to lay off the cough medicine.

K, SBN... my intention was not to get your back up, but to clarify the Mod Squads position on this subject, as JB asked.

N/P and I was just inserting some humor here.
Go back, way back and read some pages and you will see I was quite the jokester back then trying to keep it on a even playing field when things would "heat" up.
No harm, no foul.

I sure like my new pontoon boat, but I knocked the transducer of on the second run, anybody ever build a guard for one, the steering is much better after going to the 4.2 ratio NFB stering.
Sure need a new trailer tho, the 24' is just too big for the single axle small tire trailer.
I have been having fluctuations in the tach on my Sea Ark, reckon its a bad Tach or problems with the Alt.
I can hardly wait for spring to get back to camping out at the lake. Even tho my Wife dosent sit around camp and KNIT.
I have been thinking of buying my wife a new pickup, the one I bought her last year is getting prety noisy from driving down these rough country roads and dodging all the deer and hogs and BUNNYS.
I bought some paint the other day to repaint my old international tractor, I guess they must have made a mistake in mixing the paint, when I opened the can it was PINK.
It must be getting close to spring here as when I was going to town todaay I kept running over BUTTERFLYS.
I think I have covered all the cryteria set forth for this thread.

Ray: one of the people who complained about me did put it in $ terms to iboats, and requested censure or shutting down DC. I hope you understand that iboats provides this sand box for all of us for a business reason. YOU DO UNDERSTAND THAT MINOR li'l point don't ya? I know you are very sharp: RAY. Respectfully JR
Your remarks are totally uncalled for. Why drag me into your personal situation. Your condescending tone decries any genuine atonement. I walk a very thin line here and there is always someone who gets stung and is not man enough to take it. I consider every man a friend until he proves otherwise. Please call me techno
Your comment was totally uncalled for. No I did not address you on the subject I simple posted additional information about those exerting undo pressure.

JB, my good and faithful friend I in no way questioned the revered admins' principle, I just quoted a time honored axiom. Just posting my handle is a hot button for some, I wonder who?

rwise caught it. Three Little Kittens is the topic. Maybe these cuties. But I think the one in the middle is an imposter. ;)

(I tried and I tried and I tried, but nowhere on the internet did I find one single solitary picture of pink bunnies knitting anything, let alone butterflies. Go figure!)

Re: Three Little Kittens

Well, all I can say is that I can own my share of the discourse that has occured here. It never is my intent to single anyone out or cause trouble. I just post my viewpoint and do everything I can to make sure my point isn't directed at anyone in particular. I've been posting here since 2001, and I can't remember having anyone after my arse as much as has been happening recently. I am not sure what I did to set him off, but he has made a conscious decision to single me out, take my commentary out of context, and try to slide in as many insults under the radar as possible. Then he is suprised when I don't stand for it. Baffling.

I like to believe I have been getting along fine here for the last six years, but then most of my post count is in the help section, not here. I could go on about people who come to Iboats, never actually contribute to any help sections, and just stir up poo in DC, but that usually is realized eventually by the population here.

Yeah, I know answering questions in the help section isn't a necessity to use DC, but most of the people here have areas of expertize that have helped countless amounts of people. There are the others who come and ask questions about their boat issues. Then we have people who come, ask two token questions in a help forum, then run up a high post count stirring poo in DC. If a person doesn't have a boat problem, and doesn't answer a boat question, what on earth could compell them to stay on a boat site if they are not here to cause problems?

I don't want DC to go away, I don't even want the political stuff to go away. I recommended getting rid of it as a last resort, if the troublemakers can't figure out how to make their point in a civilized manner, like everyone else on this site does. I don't really think that is too much to ask, I mean, this isn't the wild west here.

Then I have been thinking maybe I am the problem here. Maybe I need to be the one to go. I mean, hey, I am left twisting in the wind most of the time anyway. I figure if no one has my back here, why should I stay? I can be next in the long, long lineage of long term contributing members that have been driven from this site by poo stiring troublemakers that have done nothing but cause dissent. These poo stirrers suck the joy out of this place while they dazzle you with their bullshyte, just remember that when you are telling me to not let the door hit my glutial region on the way out. This is not the place it used to be....

Re: Three Little Kittens

A lot has changed since we came along, Jason.

There is a lot of divisiveness in this country that wasn't here then and a lot of folks are carrying with the hammer back.

If we all can remember that the other guy is someone with whom we would be chums if we met on the lake or down at the crick. . . .well, I think we would disagree in a more civil manner.

I know that one of my best friends here, a real prince of a fellow, disagrees strongly with me on a number of issues. . .yet we remain good friends. Why? Because we disagree on ideas, not on who we are.

I always maintain that the majority of the problem is simple misinterpretaion of intent due to the written word. I have no doubt in my mind that everyone here, if discussing the same subject face to face, would seee the other person and react differently than on here. It is difficult to communicate by word and emoticons alone. I think a lot of misunderstanding has occured because of this, and then we get into self-defense mode because lets face it, no one finds it easy to admit that they think their view is the only view.

All of my republican friends and I debate this stuff all the time but are laughing our butts off because we are face to face. On this site, we just stare at a screen reading a post done by a faceless person. Hard to empathize with words. I also wonder if the msm is partly to blame, reporting the division is reinforcing it in a way. You get told something long enough you beleive it. I don't think my repub or lib counterparts are evil, corrupt people, but there sure is a lot of people saying they are. I just have to go back to the reality that I see on the streets every single day and take what is seen on a computer or the tube with the grain of salt that it should be taken.

People on here get stirred up over c&p info that is sometimes distorted or downright false. I prefer to see with my own eyes, not trust that someone didn't fabricate something just to cause problems.

I would hate to go, because this place is a part of my life, but it does get exhausting, and when something isn't fun anymore, why do it? Maybe I'll just stick with the help forums, those are still good places to be...
