I did not make one point regarding the Constitution, nor did I dismiss it. I am simply pointing out that Padilla behind bars is good and that any success by this Administration is bad for Dems. Period. Don't put Constitutional Ignorance in my mouth . . . I completely understand the assertions about Gitmo, I just happen to think these guys are Enemy Combatants . . . Oh, and by the way, the Geneva Conventions do not apply to people that are not in uniform if we want to go down that road. Look it up. . .
BTW, I did not directly connect innocence with Civil rights abuse. I said that
innocence cannot be used as evidence of abuse if he was indeed found guilty . . . I understand how you might be confused, but I know that guilt and innocence aren't the point. I
guarantee if he had been found innocent the screams of "see we told ya" would've been louder than any of our keyboards a clackin' . . .
Thank you for the detailed response. Oh, oh, the "huh?" to Witch Hunt seems odd. Again, if Padilla was found innocent the claims of Bush being on a Witch Hunt would've been deafening . . .
