1999 7.4L MPI. Anyone know what these sensors are? They weren't hooked up when I removed the engine.

Ayuh,... The Big 1 on top is the Oil Pressure Gauge Sender...
The little 1 on the bottom is the Low Oil Pressure Alarm Switch....

The big one is the oil pressure gauge sending unit...the small one is the oil pressure switch (for the audible alarm system).

I guess we know why you had to remove the engine now - it lost oil pressure and you didn't know it!!!!! :)

Yep, I was thinking, "Geez, I hope you didn't pull the motor cause the oil pressure guage read 'zero' and the alarm was going off. If you did, you wasted a bunch of time, money, and energy!"

on second thought they must have been hooked up because I was getting OP readings at the guage. The mechanic that started the work on my engine may have removed them. I pulled the engine mainly to knock off the rust and paint it. Also wanted to clean/paint the bilge. Thanks for the info guys.
