I made the BIG leap of faith and purchased a wet slip for my boat. I was wondering how much different areas charge for slips and what services pay?

I am now paying 97.00 for an uncovered wet slip with water and electric.

What cons if any have you found using a wet slip.

That's a good price. Are you member of a boating club to get that great price?

I have a covered 28' or 30' on Lake Texoma.
No water/only battery charger allowed for electric.

$100.00 month/12 mo. lease.
Cheapest I could find.

600 for 6 months (wet slip, electric and water) on Watauga lake, covered slips are 1400 per year. This is at a NICE marina with 2 year old docks (funny it is also the cheapest marina....everyone other marina on the lake runs about 100-200 bucks more).

Upper Chesapeake Bay here. The marina I'm at is owned by the town, so they keep the costs reasonable to attract visitors.
We pay $50/ft for a 12 month slip. Water is included but electric is metered separately. With all the extra 'fees' tacked on, I pay $1785 my 34 footer. Compared to anywhere else around here, that's CHEAP.
I might add that there's a 4 year waiting list for a slip.

After seeing what some are paying for slip fees my 97.00 does not seem bad at all. I think I went blind for a moment when I saw 5,700 for a season of slip rental.

Southern New Jersey, depending on marina/town/location, it can be as low as 65/foot... but the better slips and marinas (one's with real features and service) do run up to 100/foot... April 15 to Oct 15.

I am paying 2500 total for inside rack storage in S. Jersey.

$148/mo uncovered 24' with electric, water and wifi included. We keep them in 12 months here. I like the uncovered because the birds and bugs will hand out in the covered in the warm months. My slip is across from the patio where live music is played Friday and Saturday nights. Sit on my boat, drink my beer, listen to their music...works for me.

I have a 19' footer on a lake here in Ontario. I pay about $300/year from May to October. Uncovered, no service, but still a sweet price.

Another $42 for the season to store my boat trailer on site.

Here in NH on Lake Winnipesaukee my boss pays around 6k a year just to park his boat. It has showers etc too, but sheesh. You can also buy the slips for anywere between 80k to 150k. For a parking space!
