Anyone ever do this?
We spent 8 hours on the water in our little Kingfisher last weekend trying to catch some fish. During that time, my wife had to go ashore twice in order to go potty. That meant that we had to pull up anchor or stop trolling with the electric motor and head landward... sometimes using the "big" motor in order to make haste!
And of course my lovely bride would prefer to not have to climb onto land where there may be water moccasins and alligators!
So this afternoon during some waiting time I got to thinking about the issue. My original thought (Hope!
) was to get a bigger boat with a porta potty onboard. That option shall remain ON the table! Heh heh.
However, it occurred to me that when we eventually install a bimini top that perhaps we could permanently affix some velcro tape or something along the edges then temporarily hang some opaque sheets or beach towels or whatnot to provide some privacy for m'lady. We wouldn't leave the shields attached all the time, just when necessary.
She could be hidden inside. I'd be forward and the boy would be aft, both of us still fishing instead of having down time while traveling to shore and waiting.
What do y'all think? Anyone done something similar?
