Hi,
Looks like I broke off the plastic connector for the gear lube in the gimbal housing assembly.
I knew I had to be careful (reading the forums), but I hadn't even started trying to pull the hose and I noticed gear fluid leaking (and I looked and the hose was disconnected/broke off).
Looks like it was when I tried to turn part of the outer gimbal housing assembly (twisted it), so I could gain access to the trim limit/sender to replace it.
Anyhow, not sure what part(s) I need to replace it.
The one on the outdrive is part metal (brass I believe) and part plastic (plastic broke). I believe they are all plastic now (from the forums). But there are 3 pieces and not sure I need them all - not sure if you need to replace more than just the part in the gimbal housing?
outdrive serial number OL98XXXX, alpha one gen II
Not sure which part number I need.
Do I only need 861150T02? Or is it 22-18922?? (18922 still appears to be available).
I'd rather go with the brass - not sure it's any easier to swap out (18922 looks to be all brass? mine is a mix, brass/plastic tip??)
If its 8611150T02 do I also require 861163? (gear lube monitor connector?) Not sure if the connector goes into the engine compartment side (inside) or the gimbal housing side? (external)
I don't believe my existing brass one has an E-clip so I assume I need one as well?
Assuming I have to go with 861150T02, if it's all been replaced with plastic, I'm unsure if I have to swap out the whole thing? Or if there is just a piece I can replace the broken part located in the gimbal housing?
Attached are the pictures of the gimbal housing and Lube Connector (just to the top right side of the U-Bellows)
Note: I jammed some wipes below the connector in question to stop the fluid from coming out (so that's why it's there - that's all I had handy).
thanks
